Sean “Diddy” Combs’ homes were raided by police on Monday in connection with a federal sex trafficking investigation.
Homeland Security descended on the rapper’s mansions in Los Angeles and Miami. Video from the scene shows several individuals being handcuffed after armed officers arrived by boat. Many of the details, including identities, are still unknown.
A Homeland Security Investigations representative told TMZ: “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York conducted law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide more information as it becomes available.” Combs purchased the Los Angeles mansion in 2014 for $39 million, according to Curbed LA. The 17,000-square-foot, two-story home is located in the suburb of Holmby Hills. The home was built just six months before Combs moved in by Nile Niami, a former film producer turned real estate developer who specializes in multi-million dollar homes. The mansion is reportedly home to several extravagant amenities. TMZ reported that the property has 8 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with a 3,000-square-foot guesthouse. There is a separate spa house with a steam room, massage room, and beauty salon. Curbed LA also said that the property has a pool and grotto connected by an underwater tunnel. Inside the mansion, there is a wine room as well as a 35-seat theater. Combs’ estate is located near the Playboy Mansion. Earlier this year, Combs decided to skip the 2024 Grammy Awards after multiple women accused him of sexual assault. Combs has denied these allegations, but he was still absent from the event despite being nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album. One of those women was ex-girlfriend and R&B singer Cassie, who claims Combs beat her and forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed them. He also denies these allegations.
