Taylor Swift Reveals “Weird” Habit She Jokes Husband Travis Kelce Has “to Put Up With”

Travis Kelce has to pledge his allegiance to all of Taylor Swift’s vibes—even this one.

The Grammy winner recently detailed how the friendships depicted in Toy Story 5 reminded her of how she’s only herself when she’s with her high school best friend Abigail Anderson Berard—and how their own secret language can confuse their husbands.

“Finding someone who’s the same genre of weird and silly as you are,” Swift shared in a conversation alongside Toy Story 5 director Andrew Stanton Nov. 1 as seen in videos shared to social media. “Just why Bonnie and Blaze’s story resonated with me so much. When I moved to Nashville when I was 14, you’re the new kid in school you’re like, ‘Who should I be friends with?’”

And while Swift admitted that many of the girls she met at the time were “cool” and “nice,” everything changed when she sat in class next to a red head named Abigail.

“She even has curly hair, too, like Blaze,” Swift continued. “The two of us, all we wanted to do was talk in Napoleon Dynamite voices. And we still do this. And it’s something our husbands have to put up with.”

As Swift mocked herself and Berard’s conversation in an impression of Jon Heder’s distinct character voice from the 2004 film, “It’s just like, ‘What are you doing today?’ ‘I don’t know what are you doing?’ ‘Oh, are you playing with your cute kid?’ Yeah, I am, what’s the problem with that?’”

The 36-year-old emphasized that Berard—mom to one young son with husband Charles Berard—will always have a friend in her.

“When you find that person who just sees you for that strange little genre that is you at your purest,” she explained, “That hit me so hard watching the film.”

Of course, Swift has said before that the taste of her is acquired, but Kelce maintains it’s his favorite dish.

“People gravitate towards how she performs and how she makes it feel like the entire stadium is in this little room with her,” Kelce detailed in an interview with GQ last year. “She is so good at mesmerizing everybody and making everybody feel like it’s an intimate situation. I think that alone—there is so much calm and coolness. She’s beautiful. She’s up there making everyone feel at ease.”

As Swift said, you only have to find one person in the world who doesn’t find you completely insufferable, and she and Kelce have found that in each other.

“We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are,” he added. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f–k off.”
